Walk off the Earth are a Canadian indie band formed in 2006 in Burlington, Ontario. The band’s cover of Gotye’s ”Somebody That I Used to Know” using only one guitar went viral in early 2012 and gained over 124 million hits onYouTube.

Its shaping up to be a great weekend of ukulele workshops, jams, open mics, and a fantastic line up of artists from both sides of the Atlantic. There is a lot more exciting stuff to be announced yet (including more artists tba) so mark the dates in your diary now!

Levon died on Thursday April 19th and he will be be sadly missed.
He sang so many great songs but the one that has a special significance for ukulele players in Ireland is “Ophelia”.
Its in our songbook and is one of the featured numbers by the Ukeristic Congress.
