If you get a chance to see Peter at any of his gigs, his performances are magic.
Levon Helm’s wonderful voice and drumming provided many of the great musical moments to the soundtrack of many of our lives. Levon died on Thursday April 19th and he will be be sadly missed.
He sang so many great songs but the one that has a special significance for ukulele players in Ireland is “Ophelia”.
Its in our songbook and is one of the featured numbers by the Ukeristic Congress.
Minnie & The Illywhackers doing a fantastic performance of “The Boys In The Backroom” from the 1939 movie starring Marlene Dietrich and James Stewart at the Burlesque Festival in Dublin’s Sugar Club.
Minnie and the band are playing at the Odessa Club next Sunday April 22nd. Always a great night!
