Stunning singer and uke player Heidi Talbot (family lives in Newbridge, Co. Kildare) who I saw playing support to the magical Eddie Reader in Dublin last night.
Heidi is just a wonderful singer and here she is accompanied by the very talented
John McCusker, Chris Drever And Boo Hewerdine.
The wonderful Professor Peter and Doctor Dick from the Netherlands are the founders of “The Small Instruments Society” here they play the classic “Roll Along Prairie Moon” “A classic, that reminds us of how we used to dream of being a real cowboy. But that was long time ago.”
Check out their Youtube Channel.
Ken Middleton, Nora Artola & Andrew Robinson noodling away on “Blue Moon” having just arrived after 12 hour car journey to Cheltenham in 2010 for the Ukulele Festival. (As far as I know this was the first uke get together at the fest).
Jónsi – Go Do (Jónsi & Nico Muhly @ Bethnal Green Live Sessions)
Jonsi has one of the most beautiful voices in popular music today AND he plays the ukulele. His music is transcendental (isn’t that what its supposed to do?) and “Go Do” is just wonderful.
